JOHNNY TREMAIN: BOOK REVIEW

My mom recently finished reading me a historical fiction book called Johnny Tremain, and now she's making me write a review on it.  So here it is.
The story takes place in Boston, 1773-1775.  It is about a boy named, Well Duh!, Johnny Tremain!  He grows up in a loyalist family, training to be a silversmith.  When his hand gets burnt by hot silver, It ruins his chances of becoming a silversmith.  He starts working as a paper boy for a paper that prints for Whigs.  He slowly starts becoming a Whig.  He has encounters with thieves, and becomes best friends with a quiet rebellious boy named Rab.  He starts to realize that the rebels are fighting for the rights of every downtrodden person.  The book ends after the battle at Lexington and Concord, when the war officially begins.
At the start, I didn't really like it.  It got more interesting as we got further, but I never really loved it.   It was OK.  But I'm getting really tired of revolutionary history.  It was a pretty good book though.
I said that I was working on reading different genres of books, but this book, though a good story, just wasn't my type.
